What exactly does HookMaster do?

HookMaster is a video feedback tool built for short-form creators. You upload a video, and our AI watches it frame by frame to tell you what's working and what's not. You get timestamped notes on your hook, pacing, visuals, and retention. If something needs fixing, you can generate new clips right inside the app using Fix Studio.

How does video analysis work?

Upload any MP4 or MOV up to 90 seconds. Our AI breaks down your video second by second and scores your hook strength, pacing, and visual quality. You get a viral score, a hook score, and specific feedback tied to exact timestamps so you know precisely where viewers would drop off.

Fix Studio lets you act on your feedback without leaving HookMaster. When the analysis flags a weak section, you can generate a replacement clip using AI video models like Kling, Veo, and Seedance. Pick the flagged moment, choose a fix direction, and the AI generates a new clip you can drop into your edit.

How does Style Match work?

Upload a reference video that has the style you want, like a viral TikTok or Reel. HookMaster breaks down its pacing, cut frequency, color grading, and text placement, then gives you a detailed blueprint you can follow to match that style in your own content.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. We collect your card upfront so we can convert you smoothly to the paid plan after the trial, but you can cancel anytime during those 7 days and you will not be charged. Paid plans start at $9/month after the trial.

This Privacy Policy explains how HookMaster ("HookMaster", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use tryhookmaster.com and related services (the "Service").

Account data: Name, email, profile photo, authentication identifiers.
Billing data: Subscription/credit purchase records and payment metadata from processors (we do not store full card numbers).
User content: Videos, images, prompts, text, generated outputs, and related metadata.
Technical and usage data: Device/browser info, IP-derived region, app events, feature usage, diagnostics, and performance logs.
Support and communication data: Messages sent to support, feedback, and email interaction events.

2. How We Use Information

Provide and operate the Service, including AI analysis and generation workflows.
Authenticate users, prevent fraud, and secure accounts and infrastructure.

3. AI Processing and Safety Review

We may review, block, remove, or report content that appears to violate law or our Terms (including explicit, exploitative, violent, infringing, or fraudulent content). We are not obligated to pre-screen every request or output.

4. Sharing of Personal Information

Generated assets: AI-generated content (images, motion graphics, fixed clips) is generally retained up to 90 days unless longer retention is required for security, disputes, or law.
Analysis results and project metadata: Retained while your account is active or until deletion request, subject to legal obligations.
Operational logs and diagnostics: Typically retained for limited periods necessary for security and reliability.

7. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries where we or our providers operate. Data protection laws in those locations may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

12. Images of People and Human Likeness Data

When you upload images, videos, or audio that depict identifiable human likenesses for AI video generation, the following applies:

What we process: Reference media you upload is transmitted to our third-party AI generation providers (currently fal.ai for Seedance 2.0, Kling, and related models) for the duration of the generation request. We do not retain a separate "portrait library" ourselves and do not build facial recognition databases.
Facial data processing: Uploaded media may undergo automated preprocessing, content moderation, and safety review by the AI provider, which may include facial feature analysis solely for the purpose of generating the requested video output.
Your responsibility: By uploading reference media that depicts identifiable individuals, you represent and warrant that:
- You legally own the media or have obtained explicit, informed consent from the depicted individual for AI video generation use.
- The media does not contain unauthorized third-party trademarks or logos.
- The media does not infringe any third party's personality rights, intellectual property, right of publicity, or other legal rights.
- The use does not violate any applicable laws, public order, or morals.
Third-party processing: Reference media is transmitted to fal.ai (fal.ai) and processed by the underlying model providers (e.g. ByteDance for Seedance, Kling AI for Kling). Their processing is subject to their own privacy policies and content safety requirements.
Retention: Reference media is held by the AI provider only as long as necessary to complete the generation request and any provider-side caching window.
Jurisdiction-specific rights: Certain jurisdictions (including Illinois under BIPA, the EU under GDPR, and others) provide additional rights regarding biometric or facial data. If you reside in such a jurisdiction, please review your local rights and contact us with questions.
